The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed concerning the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service sassa the area each day. The company stage made for intervention ordeals a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the Workplace status sassa to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all buyers and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
